Implementing the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020: Digital Certificates Research
Research on Digital Disclosure Certificates:
As part of the implementation of the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, one of the developments being looked at is the provision of digital certificates. Before this change is implemented however, the team working on this would like to involve people using the Disclosure Scotland service. They would like to hear from people on their experience of:
- How you currently use paper certificates in your employment of Personal Assistants
- What barriers if any that paper certificates create
- What helps to overcome these barriers
- How might a digital certificate be used to overcome any barriers
They are keen to involve individuals who apply for Disclosure information at any level, PA Employers and organisations that apply on behalf of applicants.
They are aiming to conduct an initial round of interviews between Monday, the 14th March 2022 and Friday, the 18th March 2022. They expect interviews to happen online and take about 50-60 minutes.
Interviews will be confidential and any information that is shared will not be available outside the remit of the research. Responses will be anonymised. The interview will involve two people from the Design team who both have security clearance from the Scottish Government. Prior to the interview, participants will receive a consent form and interviews will not be recorded.
