The development of this information is part of the work of the PA Programme Board. The Board’s role is to enable Personal Assistants to be fully included as part of the social care workforce and ensure that any necessary changes are included into long term work-streams, especially around the development of the National Care Service. The Board will play a key role in identifying clear outcomes to support improvements for PAs across Scotland. The Board will also offer advice to the Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care, Mr Stewart, on how to ensure PAs are fully recognised as members of the social care workforce. The group will consider the issues that are preventing PAs being fully recognised.
