Brokerage Award deadline extended

Due to increased interest, the application deadline for this year’s delivery of the Community Brokerage Award has been extended until 14 June 2024.

The course, which starts in September 2024 and runs until June 2025, is a certified qualification, worth 30 credits at SCQF level 7. It is relevant to anyone who wants to provide Community Brokerage to build the capacity of people who need support to live full lives in their community. The course will help you learn more about Self-directed Support and the Community Brokerage approach.

Anyone who works or volunteers in a social care support role is welcome to apply. The award may be especially helpful to people who work in Independent SDS Support organisations, Carers’ Centres, Advocacy services or Local Authorities. The unique opportunity for practice sharing between people with a range of experiences is particularly valued by participants.

Application is by a simple online form which asks you what interests you about the award, and gives you space to let the course organisers know about anything that would support you to take part.

The new closing date for applications is 14th June 2024.
