Civil Rights First Training Survey: Tell us what you’d like included
A training opportunity for all members
SDS Scotland are now planning to develop a training programme for members during 2022 – 2023. One of the opportunities we would like to offer comes from an organisation called Civil Rights First.
Civil Rights First is a FREE advice and advocacy service to all citizens, on a range of issues including:
- Money Advice/Housing Issues
- Mortgage and tenancy repossession
- Consumer Rights
- Self-Directed Support
- Civil Legal Advice
- Information on legal rights, human rights and equalities legislation
- Authorised Lay Representation
CRF can provide advice and information on your legal rights.
They can undertake casework on your behalf to support resolution of more complex issues. In some instances, they can also provide Authorised Lay Representation representing you at Court or a Tribunal.
Civil Rights First would like to offer a number of information/training sessions during 2022 and we would like to ask you which areas you would like the training to cover. We have created a short survey (4 questions) to gather your views. We will work with Civil Rights First to plan and deliver the sessions that members would most like to take place.
Please let us know what you would like from these information/training sessions by taking the survey here:

If there is anything that is not covered by this survey, please get in touch with us to let us know what subjects or issues you would like to see covered in an information/training session this year. Sessions will currently be planned as online events. Mark’s contact details are:
