Independent Living Fund Scotland re-opens for new applications

On 3 May the Independent Living Fund (ILF) Scotland officially re-opened for new applications.

The ILF provides funding support for disabled people in Scotland, and it is hoped that in the first year of re-opening, the fund will enable up to 1,000 disabled people with the most complex needs to access the support they need and deserve to live independent lives.

You can apply for the fund if you meet the following Access Principles:

  • You live in Scotland
  • You are aged 16 years or over at the time of application
  • You access Self-Directed Support
  • You receive a net weekly budget of at least £800 per week.

Applications to the Independent Living Fund are made by your local authority’s social work department, on your behalf.

Visit the Independent Living Fund website for more information on the fund and how to apply.
