PVG consultation: report now published.
The Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme was launched in 2011 and is managed by Disclosure Scotland to help ensure people whose behaviour makes them unsuitable to work with children or protected adults can’t do regulated work with these vulnerable groups. On 25 April 2018, the Scottish Government launched a consultation on how they can simplify and improve the disclosure regime in Scotland, including the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme. The report is now published and Scottish Ministers’ response to this consultation report will be published at a later date.
Our members took part in this consultation and now that the responses and report have now been published and members might like to see it. We will continue working with Disclosure Scotland to ensure the issues our members raised are taken into account going forward and we will keep members up to date on progress, particularly once Ministers respond to this report.
