Revised SDS Standards published

Social Work Scotland have announced the publication of the newly revised SDS Standards.

The Standards describe what good Self-directed Support looks like, and aim to support best practice and the implementation of SDS across Scotland.

They’ve been co-produced with a wide range of people over the past year, updating the first set of Standards which were originally launched in 2021.

The Standards are useful for many people including people who provide independent support, community brokerage and advocacy, social work practitioners and social work leaders. They also help supported people understand what good SDS practice should look like.

You can read the revised SDS Standards here.

And there is now a new Easy Read version, which you can read here.
