Speak Your Mind! Dementia, SDS and Promoting Individual Autonomy
Friday 19th October 2018 – in Glasgow
10:00 am – 12:00 noon
This FREE event will look at how self-directed support can promote individual autonomy for people with dementia, particularly in situations where there are actual or potential interventions under mental health, adults with incapacity or adult support and protection legislation.
The key note speaker is Professor Jill Stavert, Founder and Director of Napier University’s Centre for Mental Health and Capacity Law.
The event will also include an interactive Q&A session and an opportunity for networking.
This event is open to people with dementia, unpaid carers and third sector organisations supporting people with dementia and/or unpaid carers.
The event is organised and hosted by MECOPP’s 3 R’s Project, with funding from the Baring Foundation and Life Changes Trust.
