Promoting the role of PA and supporting recruitment

As part of the Personal Assistant Programme Board, Self Directed Support Scotland leads on work to promote the role of the Personal Assistant in Scotland and to improve the infrastructure for PA recruitment.

In 2022 we developed the Make an imPAct – become a PA marketing campaign to promote the role of Personal Assistant, sharing the stories of three Personal Assistants and their employers to encourage people to consider this unique and rewarding role. The campaign has been used in successive bursts of activity including social media and radio advertising. Visit the dedicated campaign page here.

Alongside the Recruitment subgroup of the PA Programme Board, we have also led on the development of a dedicated page for PA vacancies on the My Job Scotland website – Scotland’s leading website for public and third sector vacancies.

Launched in March 2024, the refreshed site gives for the first time a national space for employers to advertise vacancies, and for PAs to find roles to suit them in their local community. Visit the page here.
